The National Learning and Teaching Focused Network
Connecting colleagues in learning and teaching focused roles across the UK Higher Education sector
| Welcome! We are a network of colleagues in learning and teaching focused roles in UK Higher Education Institutions (and beyond!). What do we mean by learning and teaching focused? Learning and Teaching Focussed is a catch all term to cover all contract types that are not Teaching and Research e.g. Teaching and Scholarship, Education and Scholarship, Teaching Only, Teaching Focussed). Learning and Teaching Focussed staff – from post graduate tutor through to prof! – are really welcome. In addition, Teaching and Research staff and all of the many colleagues who are third sector professionals supporting teaching development are welcome too. What does the network do? Teaching focused colleagues are often in the minority at UK HEIs and so being teaching focused can be an isolating experience. We aim to challenge this by creating a national space to share good practice, helpful tips, scholarship, activism, information about publications, webinars, conferences and more, and for conversation, support and network building. We run online and in person events, and also have an active JISC email list which you can join here. |
